Good Morning, Islanders Country.
It felt weird to be emotionless, even indifferent, after an overtime win, but that’s what this team has done to me.
On April Fool’s Day, the Islanders again showed that the joke’s on us fans who have loyally watched this endlessly bizarre season. The Islanders earned two points in a must-win situation, but not before their latest third-period blown lead in the dying seconds put a damper on things.

You can absolutely make up what happened last night because we’ve seen it countless times this season - a team allergic to scoring empty-net goals and one that loses all ability to clear the puck when it matters most. It’s maddening.
“We might not be happy to give them one point today, but we're probably going to be happy maybe down the road to have those two points,” Patrick Roy said after the 4-3 O.T. win. Maybe Patrick, maybe. We’ll see about that.
